Paula Bee
Okay.. I TRIED to walk today.. I got about 10 minutes out and then heard this HUMONGOUS boom.. looked up in the distance, and there was lightning flashing everywhere! I had to practically run home.. well, a good, scared power walk.. I did a total of 17 minutes and ought to get the rest of the minutes for pure dumb luck and breaking my knee joints hurrying home.. oh yeah, and don't forget the calories burned by pure fear! lynzz
May 15th - My port site is still bothering me, couldn't sleep last night...... called OCC this morning and spoke with Dr. Saul (spelling), he instructed me to stop exercising for at least two days, Tylenol every 6 hours, and liquids for 24 hours. I guess no gym for me today--Doesn't he know I still have 12 more sessions to make my Platinum challenge?? ( I really don't think that it is the gym that is doing me in anyway (the elliptical is such a fluid movement), its the running, and that stupid hike on Saturday (DH got poision oak on both legs). So today is an official day of rest......

WAgal
May 15, no elliptical but mowed the lawn for 40 minutes and I did sweat.
Paula Bee
For 40 minutes at your weight, you spent 311 calories mowing the lawn. You would have spent 456 on the eliptical at a light to moderate pace for 30 minutes Walking at 2.5 mpg for 30 minutes is 124 calories, so you definitely met your goal for that day. The website I used was http://www.fitwatch.com/database/searchexdb.html Hope this helped reassure you!

Paula Bee
YAY! It stopped raining long enough for me to work in my 30 minute walk, only it turned out to be 50 minutes because I got lost again. Mom's neighborhood seems to go in circles for me.. or the blocks rotate or move. 50 minutes for me! Handstands and ovations! You may applaud! Thank you, thank you!
Paula Bee
Walked/ran 30 in Sam's, chasing after my brother. I think we were in there closer to an hour, but only half of it was aisle running. I worked up a sweat...how pitiful.
