I Cannot Feel My Port

Hi-

I was banded on 4.8.08 and i cannot feel my port or tell where it exactly is. Is this normal?

I couldn't find my port either until I got my 1st fill and Dr. Romero showed me where it is: about one inch below and 1/4 an inch to the left of my port SCAR. If you press on that spot you feel a little resistance, unlike if you poked any other place on my flabby belly. There is really no reason to NEED to feel it some people think it's cool but you have nothing to worry about!

I wish I couldn't feel my port or see my port.

I wish my port didn't look like an alien baby about to be birthed!

My port pops out and moves around and is hard to touch.

I hope I don't have a problem getting my first fill but I definitely need the doctors to reassure me that the port is just fine.

And TRUST ME, I'm not feeling it because I have LESS BELLY FAT

Hi Claire,

I was banded on 04/28 and boyyy do I feel my port ... it is maybe to early since I'm only 1 week post op and probably still sore, but the feeling is really bothering me - especially when I try to bend over or sit down and forget to be upstraight-

It's like a ball :-?

I couldn't feel mine in the beginning either. It must be all the swelling, but I can feel it now. It much smaller than I thought though.
