Lealove
I have read where many of you say your band is tight in the morning and you can barely eat anything or only a shake, etc... what does this mean and why is it tight in the morning?? 20 days to Band!! nothereanymore
Its from retaining water, and that's why it happens to many at that time of the month. Some don't have this issue - I have a friend that doesn't seem to have a problem at all. (It can happen when you fly as well - I notice my band gets tighter) Its interesting. Also, just like your joints are a little rusty in the morning so are your organs. They have been on rest all night and it takes them a little while to wake up. You know how when you wake up your stomach looks smaller in the morning - this is the same concept. But....there is a quick fix for this. Drink something warm or hot. Like hot tea or coffee - decaff if you prefer. It losens up the smoothe muscles of the stomach and allows the muscle ligaments to stretch therefore not being so tight. Hope this helps. Kris_TX
I generally can't eat anything until after 12 o'clock, noon. I am allergic to the planet and have tons of congestion at night (which ends up in my stomach by morning). I have to be "upright" for about 4 or so hours before anything other than liquid will go down.

Thinkinthin
When I went for my 1st fill 2 weeks ago my dr told me to drink warm tea or coffee and not anything cold in the mornings. I always drank cold water or vitamin water but found i could not eat anything until noon or so. He told me that the cold would make your esophagus spasm and the warm would relax it. I have tried it and it actually works. So now I warm a cup of tea in the mornings and drink it ( I am not a coffee drinker). Works much better.
