Kimra
This may sound weird, but I have been wondering if after the surgery its ok to sleep on your stomach. Or how long I have to wait to do so. That is the only way I get my best sleep!! Help! Thanks

LoraLW
I sleep on my stomach and have no issues unless I have dinner late. I am almost 4 weeks post op and it did take about 2 weeks to get this way. I also sleep on my side with a pillow behind my hips which also works well. Good luck and keep us posted
Willi333
The first few days I really had a hard time finding the right position to sleep (feeling my port and being sore). Lora gave me a great tip with the pillow - it worked wonders - Sleeping like a baby ;-) THANK YOU LORA I'm 9 days post op and can sleep most of the night on my stomach, turning around is still a little weird ... ~Ute~

Willi333
Ute, so glad to hear it has helped. How else are you feeling? Lora I feel great! I had a week off to "recover" and have been soooo lazy ;-) I'm still a little bit sore but no gas pain or shoulder pain (never had), not really hungry and dropping those pounds ... wish it would stay like that How are you ?? ~Ute~

LoraLW
WOW Ute I just realized how much you have lost. WAY TO GO!!!! Keep up the great work. I am doing really good with the exception of this morning. I had a bagel and banana for breakfast and they got stuck. HOLY MOLY that hurt bad, but I got it to pass and have been fine since. calicat
I slept on my right side nestled against a pillow every night for about the first two weeks. Then in the middle of the night, I've woken up to switch to the left side. It's an effort - and not like it has been. I used to sleep on my stomach all the time, but haven't had the desire to since the surgery.
MKLADY63
I totally understand where you are coming from. I am 15 days postop and am still having to tuck a pillow under my stomache to support the area where the port is as it is still pretty tender. It does seem though every night I spend more and more time on more of my stomach. However, I agree turning over is still me having to wake up and turning my whole body. Hang in there as the port area heals it will get easier.
