brittania
You wont get any deals at the mall, thats just like being in the US. You will get great deals at Revolution and you will get the mexican experence!
nebsmom
Hey momof12. We went to revolution ave and you can barter and get some good prices. However, you also get hastled and the shop owners are very pushy. I dont care for that. We only lasted about 2 hours there. We didnt know about the mall? As far as pharmacies go........ they are everywhere. 2 right outside of the hotel. The prices arent what you think however, very expensive. I thought Id get a few things to bring home and only ended up getting steroids for our dog. Even those werent cheap just available. Good luck! Enjoy yourself and relax. nebsmom
mona-camille
I was at both places. Revolution Ave is very touristy. The mall is not touristy at all. No haggeling for prices at the mall, but the prices are ok to begin with. Thats where the natives shop. We didn't see a single american at the mall. Revolution Avenue is all american except for the shop keeps who are very very pushy. If you have the whole day, you will have plenty of time to go to both. We taxi'd to Revolution Ave but walked to the mall. It's kind of far, but I am a walker so it was ok. We also walked back and forth from the hotel to the center too. LoraLW
I enjoyed Revolution Ave....but I also enjoy bartering I was even out after dark, but be careful I was with 2 friends one of which looked as though he could throw down at anytime....lol I found the meds reasonable for what I bought, but it does depend on what you are looking for. I purchased 2 Channel purses and haggled from 65 down to 20 each. I also bought my son a Denver Bronco Poncho for 20 as we sat in line to cross back into San Diego. The day after surgery my friends and I went across the street from the OCC parking garage to an outdoor market which also had fruits, veggies, mexican candy plus alot of other stuff to purchase if only I had a truck...lmao I truly enjoyed my stay. Enjoy yourself and let us know. Also best of luck on your procedure. Lora
