momonamission Posted May 10, 2008 Report Posted May 10, 2008 SO LET'S SAY YOU GET BANDED AND 6 MONTHS LATER THE BAND SLIPS. WELL, DO YOU HAVE TO PAY TO GET IT FIXED? WHAT IF IT'S ONLY 8 WEEKS AND IT SLIPS? IS THE BAND LIKE TIRES? DO THEY COME WITH A 60 THOUSAND MILE WARRANTY. WHAT DO Y'ALL KNOW? MOMONAMISSION
bandgroupie Posted May 10, 2008 Report Posted May 10, 2008 I was self pay like most other people on this forum. My insurance has an exclusion not only for WLS but for complications arising from WLS, which means they won't cover any procedures necessary from a band complication. So, if I had a band slip, I'd have to pay out of my pocket. SO LET'S SAY YOU GET BANDED AND 6 MONTHS LATER THE BAND SLIPS. WELL, DO YOU HAVE TO PAY TO GET IT FIXED? oknewbie Posted May 10, 2008 Report Posted May 10, 2008 How would you know if you had a slippage? I mean what would be the symptoms?
MamaMichelle Posted May 10, 2008 Report Posted May 10, 2008 The most common sign of slippage is not being able to swallow anything, not even water!
sunshinegirl Posted May 11, 2008 Report Posted May 11, 2008 boy, that sounds scary. Do you choke? Or just puke it up? Can you breath if this happens? sue
Maytee Posted May 11, 2008 Report Posted May 11, 2008 boy, that sounds scary. Do you choke? Or just puke it up? Can you breath if this happens?sue Yes you can still breathe. The big problem is dehydration if you can't swallow. Maytee
