ABDOMINAL PAIN AFTER FILL

Recommended Posts

Unable to eat much......Right Upper quadrant pain...I had my first fill on May 1st, 1.4cc. Hardly able to eat much before I get that almost stuck feeling. I also am experiencing right upper quadrant pain and had an ultrasound today to check my gallbladder. Ultrasound was negative and so was bloodwork. Wondering if anyone else is experiencing any abdominal pain. I also wonder if I'm eating enough to sustain myself, can't even finish one bowl of oatmeal....OMG I might get skinny!!!!!

UtahMom,

Where is that pain in your upper quadrant? I had shoulder pain for a very long time. I also got my gallbladder removed in 2000. When I got my first ultrasound they didn't see anything. I had to have a second one that actually saw some stones. Make sure you really chew and eat slowly. I have found I can still eat anything, pasta, bread as long as I chew, chew, chew.

Good luck. Keep us posted.

You have pain when you're not at a meal, or only while eating?

I don't have my first fill yet, but I get solids stuck at least once a day, usually more. It's very PAINFUL. Last's up to 15 mins or so.

Are you PBing as well?

Oh yes, I get stuck and PB alot. I think I am just making bad choices, so this morning I am having 1/2 cup cottage cheese with some very cut up cantalope. I guess my head has to get with the program. I cannot eat everything no matter how much I chew. The other night I made some skinless/boneless chicken thighs (broiled), was able to eat 1 with some cut up tomato. Last night I made some fish and sweet potato, took 2 bites and knew nothing else would go down. I am worried about getting enough fuel for my body. When I have alot of trouble, I make myself a smoothie with non fat milk and frozen peaches and mango, and sometimes a banana..and that fills me up. Any other suggestions will be appreciated. Thanx!!!

Arlene, not sure if you have ever tried protein powder? It might be a good idea to keep some in your house and you can add it into your fruit smoothies so that you'll be getting the most important fuel your body needs. I like GNC brand... they have several different flavors (vanilla, chocolate, orance cream, cookies & cream), and its really tasty! :D
