Paula Bee
I am just hungry today. I have tried V-8 juice, diet popsicles, yogurt. It must be mental and not physical hunger. Oh, well...
cmarie
I am just hungry today. I have tried V-8 juice, diet popsicles, yogurt. It must be mental and not physical hunger. Oh, well... I'm with you. I'm struggling w/ Mothers Day as it seems to have always centered around food in the past. Hang in there!
Maytee
To me the hunger thing got better after my first fill. It takes longer for me to get hungry after I have eaten. It is mind over matter. I remember Dr. Miranda telling me that if you feel hungry you just might be more thirsty and try drinking more fluids first. If your still hungry then eat. nothereanymore
Holidays are one of the hardest. I had to go to a brunch today and for some reason my band was tighter than normal. I just took little pieces of a few things and nibbled. Luckily my club knows of my band so only charges me for a children’s fee. (I'd hate to pay $40 for a few bites) I am use to it, however I go through a "missing" stage once in a while. But I can say, I miss my big ol size 22 almost 300 pound body way more than I miss eating a ton of food that I'd regret an hour later.... I wore a beautiful size 8 lace dress that I purchased over a year ago. Its one of those dresses that is sleeveless (I can’t believe I wore my arms out in public) and it’s so clingy you can't wear a bra, and low and behold I didn't need one! (Breast lifts are the bombs) I had some pictures taken and can't wait to see them. (Normally I'm like, please don't take my picture and if you do don't show anyone)! Its hard sometimes, this is my second Mothers day were I couldn’t eat much, but I made up for it – I spent more time walking around talking to people, had a great time and felt like a million bucks. Wouldn’t trade it for the world! You'll make it through, and you will look and feel amazing! Happy Mothers Day! Lisa
LoraLW
Awesome story LisaL. Congrats on the size 8 "clingy" dress. Next year more of us will have similiar stories to share. Lora
fat2nrml
I'm "hungry" all the time.... in my head. I just WANT to eat, taste, chew and feel the different textures of food in my mouth. It's a no-win love affair I have with food! I [We] understand Paula, it's really hard. I've really been trying to keep myself busy and my mind off of food. It's going to take some time, for me anyways, to let go of food as my main love....... :lb20:

Paula Bee
Thank you all for your replies. You are right.. it is a combination of being away from home for Mother's day, (I am at my Mom's,) not in my normal kitchen and food situation, and the fact that I have no restriction (so far) after my first fill, which was disappointing. I did overeat today.. was okay until late afternoon, then got a sick headache, took a nap, ate my normal fill supper, then deteriorated the rest of the night. I hope tomorrow is better. Paula Bee
I felt the same way, and yes, today has been a new day... I am even going to try to walk when it cools off around 6:30. Thanks to everyone for being supportive when things feel rough. That is what is wonderful about this group.
