Started pre-op diet today

Well, I started my pre-op diet today and so far so good. I am doing 2 protein shakes per day and one lean cuisine. Also I think somewhere in the directions it said we can have a green salad with light/non fat dressing. I had salad with green peppers on it, and onions, with ff/light ranch. I haven't felt hungry all day which is good. We will see how long this lasts LOL! :P Normally, for me, the first day on any diet is easy cause I am so pumped up and excited, and then after the excitement wears off its back to being starving again and wanting to eat everything in sight! I am taking one day at a time.

My surgery date is creeping up so quickly!! I hope this week and next go by so fast!

I hate to brag but mine is going great.Ever since i paypal $500 to OCC something in my mind must have snapped & i'm really serious this time.

Good luck =D> , hang in there I hope everything goes well for you. I start my pre-op adventure on May 26. Surgery is scheduled for June 10th. I sure hope my two weeks go fast. Keep us in touch on youre progress ok. When is youre surgery.

This is Day 3 for me of my pre-op diet. I am just trying to do shakes and a low carb meal. I do really well, until about 3-4 p.m., and then I had to really eat something. The last two days it has been roasted chicken. I thought I was done until I ate some scrambled Egg Beaters and piece of turkey sausage.

How can I lack such self-control? :( I just needed to eat real food!!

Me too! Today has been hell for me. I’m starving! But the protein drinks make me want to puke……they are soooo nasty! So I’ve only had 1 today and that’s all.

I am doing the protein shakes and greens and the shakes are gross but what I have done is add a little bullion (10 cal per cup) and that helps a bit. I managed to buy some shakes on line that are way better than the Optifast (just luck that I had them from a previous diet). That other stuff is vile. The ones that I am using are only 100 cals so I don't worry about the extra 10 for bullion. Also I have been using protein bars that are made for low carb dieting - they are 180 cals 15 gms of protein and 5 gms of carb. I know my calories are too low but I couldn't get that other stuff down more than once a day. I have lost 9 pounds in 6 days so it is still working. Hope that helps.

I'm still doing good.I haven't had a snack or dessert since i started.

I know this is the real deal,so i'm not allowing myself to cave one bit.

I am getting nervous about the approaching date though.

Do you like tuna? I am having a shake for breakfast and lunch, then before I go to softball (I coach), I eat a small packet of tuna loaded with protein, then for dinner I eat either a lein cuisine or meat and green veggies, no bread though. You will do fine. So far this week I have lost 2 pounds, 8 more to go in 19 days.
