getting ready for pre-op diet

Hello to all of you. I have surgrey scheduled for 5/28/08. I will be working to lose 14 pounds before the surgery. I will be drinking two protien shakes and eating a lean cuisine. Any suggestions?

That is the same plan that I was on before my surgery, and I did fine on it. I did have to look for protein shakes other than slimfast, as I couldn't stand that but about 3 days. I decided on EAS chocolate protein powder. which was delicious. I even put the powder in coffee.. it made great mocha.

Thank you for the information. I have Wellements Pro Rated protien shake mixes. They taste pretty good.

Good luck on preop!

I did 2 slim fast optima creamy chocolate shakes and 1 lean cuisine.

The shakes were great if you put them in the freezer about 30-45 minutes before you drank them.

If I went out to lunch I ordered a side salad (lettuce, tomatoes, green peppers and mushrooms only) and then had my lean cuisine for dinner. I used salsa for dressing if I was desperate and otherwise, didn't use anything.

I learned to like the shakes and the lean cuisines..... I never realized how I would DREAM of having a meatloaf and mashed potato lean cuisine... but I did.

I also drank Special K protien water (pink lemonade) all day long. Good stuff.
