usmcwife
bigali, Hi, my name is Angela...I'm so sorry I'm gonna miss you...I'm being banded on June 4th!! I started my pre-op diet today too and right about now, I could eat the kitchen sink if you let me!!!! I'm starving! I always set myself up for failure but I have no choice now but to lose these 15 lbs before I go or else I worry that they will turn me away...oh and BTW...I am also in S. Cali and I had a chance to go with a friend on friday because she had a fill appt, anyways, the OCC is absolutely beautiful!!! The staff is amazing and they took me on a tour and I am so much more confident now that I've been there...good luck with your diet!! I will stay positive through out the day. I will keep you guys posted on my progress. My surgery date is June 6 and I can't wait. The pre-op diet has been a humbling experience for me. I am trying to survive on the two Slim Fasts and Lean Cuisine, and have never been so hungry in my life. I'm trying the protein water, and the fiber wafers, and nothing is helping. By 4 .m., I am a ravenous dog and ready to eat anything that closely resembles food.. Please tell me this gets easier! I am worried that I haven't lost enough before surgery and they will kick me to the curb! ( ( Audrey
shrty835
Hey Have you been taking the Metamucil and the Chromium that Dr Miranda suggested, thats what keeps me from tearing the fridge apart. Denise

Denise I have. When it take it religiously, I feel like a piece of shredded wheat! All the fiber just bloats me up! I think I need to decide if I want the full feeling or the ravenous feeling. trulytangledgrl
Hey all! Congrats to all of us who have been doing the pre-op diet! LOL! I started mine on Sunday, and my surgery is next Friday. I don't HAVE to lose any weight but Dr. Miranda warned me not to gain a SINGLE pound and I am sooo paranoid! LOL! I am like oh my gosh I don't want to gain anything I am afraid if I do that I won't be able to get surgery. Also, I am really nervous because when I filled out my paperwork to send (health info), I had weighed myself on my home scale, and I just know that every time I go to the Dr. their scales show me as being higher than my scale at home. I am afraid when I go and they weigh me, I will be like 3-5 lbs heavier and they won't operate. I will just have to lose like 5-10 lbs I guess. yep yep.
