Kim2BSlim
I just got home from vacation and got on the scales. I gained 4 lbs! WTF!!?? I am so mad! I don't have good restriction anymore, but I made good food choices over the weekend and was not expecting that weight gain. I am hoping it is water weight and it is also that time of the month for me. I go for my 2nd fill in 2 weeks, but I have been told he will only give me .5 the second time so that will put me at 1.5 total. I need moe than that. I want at least 2 or 2.5 total. Any suggestions on how I can beg him to give me more? LOL
Kittycat
You will be fine...just a little glitch...if you think you need a fill....book one and you will be back on track. I hope you had a great vacation!!! Cathy
tlag
I heard if you are not happy with the amount of fill you get, you can request to have Dr. Martinez come in and check you, then you may be able to get more.
nothereanymore
Its so hard, I know we all want to be tight, that's always my goal as well. I've had one of those gaining times and nothing is worse. (Generally it does end up being that time of the month) One thing we have to do is listen to the specialists. I've seen someone whose band was too tight, they were dehydrated when they came in and it was not pretty. (They also waited to long to come in). And they were in really bad shape. I’ve been lucky that I’ve never had an unfill, but you really don’t want to have one if you’re not close to the center. It’s not worth it. If you made good food choices, be confidant in yourself and know its most likely water weight. You need a fill, but try to not go to overboard and get yourself in trouble, what I saw was scary and really made me think about how tight my band was and how I manage it. fat2nrml
I'm sure your weight gain is water weight. I don't know about you, but when I'm out in the heat, my fingers and feet swell really bad! :lb12: I'll bet the heat and that time of the month that it's water weight.

nothereanymore
There's a posting put up this morning on fills by Dolittle: http://www.lapbandforum.com/index.php?showtopic=6669
Kim2BSlim
I don't consider a total of 2cc in a 4cc band an aggressive fill. Maybe I am wrong? Mosat people get almost 2 cc for their first fill and this will be my second.
Willi333
I got 1.9 cc on my first fill, I do have restriction but have no problem eating a lean cuisine or smart choice and if I eat salad, it's probably 3-4 cups .... I am riding the scale 2 lbs up and down for over a week now and already thinking about getting a second fill. I do not think that 2.0 cc is agressive at all, but we all know ... everyone is different. Good luck sweetie, hopefully you get what you need
nothereanymore
It depends on each person, I have the VG band and after over 20 months its only filled to 60% of its capacity. (And I've had a lot of fills to get it there, but I’ve lost over 125 pounds now) We’re all different, just use caution and remember he wasn’t writing about you, we’re all talking about getting tight fills, myself included. But what I may consider tight – someone else might consider loose and vice a versa. Take care and you know how to make the best decision for yourself with the help of the fill director. Good luck, and I completely understand where you're at, when your in that loosing mode and mentally your in the game any set back is horrible! But they come and go, I know you're going to do great! (Just want you to be safe). Best, Lisa

soccermom
I go for my 1st fill on 7/4/08 and so confused on how much of a fill I should actually get or what I would want. I have a 10.0 cm band. Can someone explain? :training1:
Dontondan
I have never lost 2 pounds a week! I am lucky to lose 2-5 pounds a month! My first fill was .8cc and the second was 1.cc for a total of 1.8 cc. I am debating whether I need another fill soon or not, but still feel some restriction. I don't ever want to get too tight! That scares me.

Can someone explain? :training1: 10cm means you have a 4cc band. I was confused by that also. ARe you going to TJ. If so they usually give between 1.2 and 1.8 from what I have been researching for the last few months on the board. Blessings!
