Kittycat
Hey Cathy I hope your post-op is going well. I remember I was just tired and slept alot. I liked the chicken broth I made from the packets or powder rather than the already made stuff. I think it was way too bland for me. The sugar free jello pre-made little cups were very handy too. Popsicles seemed to be my favorite hands down. I thank you for all your posts and really taking this to heart.....Take care You are so welcome! We are all here to succeed and although it happens, we don't like to see people struggling, overeating and jeopardizing their goals. We all know it's hard, nothing is harder, but you are doing great, keep it up! I hope we didn't scare you off...we provide support in many different ways...if you cheat or overeat, we call you on it and tell you to get back on track. Nothing is more exciting to us than seeing you and everyone here succeed! Have a fabulous weekend! Cathy XO
Jann
That right, I start non-clear liquids tommorrow...so the diet includes drinking skim milk with the hot cereal and creamy soups, but I don't like milk and will mix it into the food.Cathy Oh total duh! Thanks for clarifying. Clearly the blonde dye has gone to my brain!
Paula Bee
Thats what I was told also. You are fine. But, better not mention milkshakes, you might get blasted by some people - even though you have permission from the doctor. I know that many people would not choose milkshakes for their liquid stage, but according to Dr. M, they are perfectly acceptable. Anything you can suck through a straw is acceptable. The clinic has reitterated over and over that the liquid stage is NOT for losing weight, but for healing your stomach. I am a weight loss addict, so I would never do that, but I did make plenty of protein shake smoothies. Yum!
kibble
I start creamy soups tomorrow. I'm so tired of juice and clear liquids. I'm dreaming of peanut butter and scrambled eggs. I am on day 6. When does the hunger come? Also...was anyone else in more pain after surgery than they expected to be? I think I'm over doing it.

Do you get to have peanut butter and scrambled eggs? I can't have that until I am in the mushy food stage in two weeks...and peanut butter scares me unless it's blended into something! Enjoy! Cathy I won't get the PB and eggs for another 2 weeks....but I'm still dreaming of them. Are you doing a mushy stage? Miranda told me "no mushies". Liquids for 3 weeks and then straight to solids.
