ackovach
I take several medications and supplements for blood pressure, sugar control, high cholesterol & other supplements. I am really concerned about how I will take this medication after my surgery. I also take 1 tablepsoon of coconut oil which has really helped my hair loss from the blood pressure medication. Here is my supplement regimen. How do I modify this for the lap band? I would like to start the modification now so I can be sure that I can do it. labetalol (2 tablets) 300mg 2 x per day simivastatin 1 tablet 20mg 1 x per day dbcare 2 capsules 2 x per day Cinnergen capsule 1 small capsule 2 x per day (cinnamon) Chromium Picolinate 1 x per day folic acid 1 tablespoon coconut oil (melted in coffee) 1 teaspoon wheat germ oil (vitamin e) 1 teaspoon fish oil liquid vitamin 1 x per day
Dontondan
You can probably check with your pharmacist and see what they would recommend, because capsules are sometimes time released. They should be able to help you out. I didn't have any problems with my capsules after the surgery, but had to cut up my regular pills (Metformin) as they were too large for the band. I cut each of them into 4 or 5 pieces and swallowed them with a water. Sometimes I would wait a few minutes between the pieces to give them time to dissolve a little.
