C1BandedBabe Posted July 11, 2008 Report Posted July 11, 2008 Does our ports move?? Mine was to the left and below my incision, now this morning I was feeling and its right to the left of my incision not below at all.. Its like right beside it.. Does this mean that it has flipped?
MamaMichelle Posted July 11, 2008 Report Posted July 11, 2008 My port shifts at times too, there is especially a difference from where it is when I am standing and where it is when I am laying down... It is stitched to your muscle wall but the fat and skin above it makes it feel like the port itself is moving.
C1BandedBabe Posted July 11, 2008 Author Report Posted July 11, 2008 Thanks Michelle, so I shouldn't freak out about feeling it in different places all the time then... You know I am the freak out queen!
shrty835 Posted July 11, 2008 Report Posted July 11, 2008 I've noticed that mine moves also. Like you said Trina sometimes its under the incision and sometimes its to the left.
Alana Posted July 11, 2008 Report Posted July 11, 2008 OMG I was about to ask this same question!!! I noticed that my port was lower than the incision when I had my first fill. When I was sitting down last night, I noticed it was futher up and more to the right of the incision. Whew, glad to know it's normal! Thanks for asking, Trina!
mona-camille Posted July 11, 2008 Report Posted July 11, 2008 Geesh, I am so fat in the gut area I can't even feel my port!
C1BandedBabe Posted July 11, 2008 Author Report Posted July 11, 2008 PHEW! Good to know I am not the only one who's port plays hide and go seek with!
my_friend_amber Posted July 11, 2008 Report Posted July 11, 2008 I'm with you Mona - I'm too fat to feel mine yet!!
Kittycat Posted July 11, 2008 Report Posted July 11, 2008 I'm with Mona and Amberlam, I have no idea where mine is...I guess when my surgeon finds it next week, I will know! Cathy
Phoenix Posted July 11, 2008 Report Posted July 11, 2008 We're about the same size...as the swelling of the cut muscle goes down, your port moves with it a smidge. The skin tissue tightens up, too. They've moved in three weeks from being on top/bottom to being sort of parallel with the port to the left. I think we're normal
julieburns Posted July 11, 2008 Report Posted July 11, 2008 Sometimes I can feel mine and other times I can't. I am glad this is normal!!
