Surgery Date Confirmed

I am so excited. I have finally confirmed my surgery date for Nov 23. I'm a bit nervous since I'll be going by myself (but I'll get over it). I leave Georgia and fly into San Diego on Nov 22. I just can't wait to be a banded member.

COngratulations..Im happy for you. You have made a great choice in surgeons with Dr. Ortiz & Martinez. You will be very happy. Once you get there you will forget about being by yourself, you will meet all the others who will be having surgey with you and you will all bond and Dr. Ortiz's mother will be with you every step of the way up to guide you and answer any questions. Hi there,

I just got back into NC tonight from being banded by Dr. Ortiz. Don't worry about going alone, I did it and it was fine flying solo. I met some nice people who were getting banded and at my broth and walked with them. Also, the staff, doctors and Mrs. Ortiz are all as nice as everyone says they are. I was banded on Thursday November 4th and was feeling a little sore, but mostly fine that afternoon and the next day. I feel much better today although a little hungry...looking forward to my first fill. Go for it!

I am having surgery on the 24th of November. I will also be flying solo. I am sure I will see you there. I arrive on the 23rd. I am a little nervous but not about the surgery. I am more nervous about the diet after surgery. I am very excited about this opportunity. I can hardly wait to go there!

The diet after surgery is a piece of cake..not to worry. You will do great. I was worried too that I could not do liquids for 2 weeks but trust me it is easy. You have swelling and gas which makes you not even think of wanting food..well for me it was like that anyways. You will do fine with the post op diet. Best of Luck to you ~

I will be flying into San Diego on Nov. 26th and having the surgery on Dec. 1. Is anyone else going to be there on Nov 30th and Dec 1,2,3. Then we are flying back to Columbus, Ohio on the 4th.
