Kittycat
I was wondering when it's okay to lay on your stomach after surgery. I am almost 6 weeks post op and by the time I go on vacation I will be two months post op...and would like to lay on my tummy to tan, will it hurt my port? erin2796
I am 4 weeks post op and have been laying on my tummy since 4 days after surgery. No one ever told me I couldn't.... Can you hurt your port by laying on your stomach?
Kittycat
I don't really know, I don't think so...but I have been because it's still a little tender when I lean on it? I guess I just answered my own question...if you are comfortable doing it, do it!! Thanks Erin, Cathy

erin2796
I started laying on mine that soon because it helped with the gas and bloating. Plus it kept me from twisting around in my sleep and pulling on it which scared me more.
MamaMichelle
I was sleeping on my stomach by day 3 or 4 with no problems! If you're feeling soreness from your port it is from the internal stitching and right now your belly is protecting that area so your should be fine...
