KboneSRU
OKay guys, this is kinda gross, but it kind of worries me a little bit and Im writing to see if anyone else has had this problem. I have this like.....white/slimy buildup on my tounge. I brush my teeth three times a day, and brush my tounge, but I have to almost scrape it off with a toothpick or dull side of a knife. Please help!!!!
karenlynn79
Doesn't really sound band-related. Maybe see your Doc or dentist??
MamaMichelle
Usually it is a sign of dehydration or your body going into ketosis...
Kittycat
Hi there, I had that and canker sores too...drinks lots of water, make sure you get enough protein and B12. I also bought a bacterial rinse, which really helped. Good Luck Cathy
Paula Bee
I have that same problem due to chronic dry mouth from my meds. My dentist gave me a tongue scraper for this problem, and although it nearly makes me gag, it does take care of the problem. Her other care instructions include water, water, water! http://www.drugstore.com/products/prod.asp...92-3b102eaa329f
julieburns
Some people are more prone to this than others. I use a tongue scraper as often as I remember. Also the mouth rinses help. The biggest thing is water, water, water!!
Phoenix
Just in case it's thrush (probably not, but it's always nice to know), you might pay a visit to your GP.

jena
Chances are it's because you are eating more protein than carbs. It's typical in a low carb diet and eventually subsides. Like the others said, drinking and drinking and drinking water will help with the problem.
ackovach
It could be a yeast problem. I take Three-lac to keep balance. It really helped my tongue issue fast. There are simple tests that you can . You many want to look it up on the web. One test I know of, you spit in glass of water first thing in the morning. If your spit has legs, you have yeast...... Also taking digestive probiotics can help.
