Bragman Posted July 22, 2008 Report Posted July 22, 2008 Just had my first post-op visit to my surgeon here in Detroit, one week after banding. I'm absolutely AMAZED at how quickly my recovery has gone, it hasn't been NEARLY as bad as I'd feared. The incisions no longer itch, the port site is only a little bit tender, I'm moving, sleeping, and generally acting just as I have before... but with more energy than I've had for the last nine months! And the official weight loss tally: 25 lbs. since I began the pre-op diet on June 30! Woohoo!!! This, I gotta say, has really been a fantastic decision!
Phoenix Posted July 22, 2008 Report Posted July 22, 2008 Wow! Huge Congratulations! 25 pounds in less than a month. Have you made the NSV U-turn?

bandgroupie Posted July 23, 2008 Report Posted July 23, 2008 Congrats on a good post of visit and the weight loss WTG!
Phoenix Posted July 30, 2008 Report Posted July 30, 2008 What's an NSV U-turn? NSV = Non Scale Victory. A U-turn is the driving term you think it is. One of your posts said that one of the reasons you're having weight loss surgery is so that you'll have more room in your car between you and your steering wheel.
