denisem
I may be wrong, but I thought Type 1 diabetes was incurable?? I thought only Type 2 could be helped. However, I'm no doctor or even in the medical field, so I could very well be incorrect. Anyone know for sure???

But, it is still good to lose weight no matter what type you have.

Trav
The band will only affect how much you can eat at any one time. That being said, it might help you control how much you eat, but as the band is supposed to be used as a tool, and not something you rely on, I could only recommend it as that, a tool. Also, because you have Type 1, you'd have to pay closer attention to what you eat, so that you aren't putting yourself into insulin shock or a sugar coma. It wouldn't hurt, but it's not a cure. CindyLou
How tall are you? I know their BMI requirements are in the low 30's. So if you fall into that zone, it should probably be ok.
