2fat4me
I really thought I was doing so much better...till now. Someone on the forum mention this site to track their foods with. It does an awesome job, it takes a bit to set up the way you want, but it really screams at you about your food intake, calories, fats, proteins, etc. I have been eating an extra 500 calories a day. Know wonder I am still ....."2fat4me" check it out http://fitday.com/WebFit/Index.html
lynzz
It all adds up, doesn't it......hehehehe. I started using myfitnesspal.com and I know what you mean. It is amazing what those seemingly innocent bites can add up to.
jena
I love the Mike and Juliet show in the mornings. One of their regular features is "This for that" where they feature one meal and/or snack and then show another meal/snack that has about the same calories and less fat. For instance, instead of the Riblet dinner (Ribs, beans, fries and slaw) from Appleby's you could have the Quesadilla burger, tomato basil soup, steak portabello, Calif. shrimp salad, AND the Tillapia! That's ALL of them! Not only that, the second option has almost 30g less of fat! Take a look at the features that are labeled "This for that" http://www.mandjshow.com/category/videos/health/
2fat4me
Thanks for the input, and I'll check out that show. We don't get it in our area, but I will stream it on line. Wow, Lynnz, you've done so well and especially with the smoking...Good for you, keep it up.

Know wonder I am still ....."2fat4me"check it out http://fitday.com/WebFit/Index.html Hi 2fat4me, I've also discovered this site, and it's really amazing what it can track. I've found that typing in my meals everyday has helped me stay focused on what I'm eating. Also, by adding "custom foods" it's forced me to look at the labels and make better food decisions, overall. My biggest obstacle with my new eating plan is how to take a lot of the carbohydrate out of my diet. Even though I'm not eating any breads, I'm still finding that a lot of the foods I'm eating are quite high in carbs. My goal for this week is to make better eating choices overall, and to try to cut the carb count down in half, if I can. Hopefully, my new plan will work. Anyway, thanks for bringing up this website. It's really awesome and it works!! - (1jmk) Janet.
