CaptainMaude
I am an avid SCUBA diver and I was wondering if Doctor Ortiz has had any patients that were. What are the raminifications of diving with the band and port? Everything squeezes underwater, every 30 feet is a different atmosphere and additional pressure. Please enlighten me to the facts. I Really want the band and I really need to continue to SCUBA. Thanks so much. ><(((((º>·.¸.·´¯ `·.¸><((((º>·.¸.·´¯ `·.¸><(((º>

I was banded 6/16, went diving 7/25 right before my first fill on 7/28. They remove all the gases (which do compress) during your first fill. Liquids (e.g. saline) do not compress afterwards. I've had LASIK, too, also no issues.

Clynn
This question gets asked every couple of months or so. Do a search and you'll find lots of good information.
