eating after first fill

Ok, so I am confused. I have heard that after your first fill you try to eat a regular meal to see how it goes. I have also heard that you go back on liquids for 3 days. Is it both?

For your first fill, because your stomach is still healing from the surgery, you go on liquids for 3 days. For subsequent fills they have you "test" the band with a small meal since the stomach is now healed.

what about the days leading up to your first fill? liquids also?

you have to fast before your fill I believe it is 4 hours but I wasn't sure so I did not eat or drink all morning before my fill just to be safe.
