Kittycat
Last night I woke up about 1 a.m. to use the washroom and took a few sips of water, my stomach went off the deep end, growling and stirring and making alot of noise. I was literally starving. I did not eat, went back to bed. It took me a good hour to fall asleep because of the discomfort. This morning I sat up in bed, step on the floor and nearly fell over, wicked dizzy!!! I held onto the wall to get myself to the washroom and still I was spinning. I ate a granola bar, thinking maybe my sugar is low, it helped a bit. I was concerned about driving to work, so I just took my time and it seemed to get a bit better. I am at work now and still feel foggy. Has anyone experienced this...and found out why it may be happening?
FRANCIE
That sure sounds like low blood sugar. I've done that a few times myself. I was dizzy alot on the pre-op diet and everytime I would even lower my head, I would get dizzy. Review what you've eaten and make sure you get all your vitamins, proteins, etc. You know the drill!! Good Luck and take care. WE NEED YOU!!
ackovach
HI Kittycat, A glucose monitor would take the guess work out of it. I use the one-touch. It is less expensive and pretty easy to use. And really does not hurt at all. I was very dizzy when my blood pressure started getting low. You may want to also go to a pharmacy and take your blood pressure. I hope you get to feeling better real soon. Amy

Are you getting enough potassium? One of the easiest ways is to drink a small bottle of Gatoraid and see what happens. Hope you feel better today! I laughed out loud when I read this....are you kidding me???!!! No I am not pregnant and there is absolutely no chance of that. I am going to get some gatorade and see if that helps. I have been eating well, but find that when I don't eat much, I can't seem to get everything I need into me. I do taken multi-vitamins and B12. Maybe I just need a day off!!! Thanks! Kittycat
Thanks everyone, I feel better now, it lunchtime here. I had a high protein breakfast and some sugar...I don't think I ate enough yesterday either...on mushy food after my fill and tend to eat less to avoid PBing. I will keep on eye on my calorie intake and vitamins and if it continues I will see my doctor. Have a great weekend...here in Canada it's along weekend, Labour Day! Kids return to school on Tuesday, yah!!!
erin2796
Did you get a fill on the 27th? Or do you think it is your 1st fill that is kicking in?
Kittycat
Did you get a fill on the 27th? Or do you think it is your 1st fill that is kicking in? Hi Erin, I did get a second fill on Wednesday and oh my goodness it's kicked in bigtime!!! I could barely eat yesterday and woke up starving in the middle of the night, did not eat, but should have. I woke up really dizzy, I think my sugar was low, I ate something quick and the dizziness started to improve. I am barely able to eat a thing, which I guess it what we want, but it concerns me, that I am not able to get in even a decent amount of nutritionist food. I guess I will be doubling up on vitamins! I feel okay now and will monitor it. Thanks for asking!
