mari02 Posted September 4, 2008 Report Posted September 4, 2008 My tummy area is still swollen.....is this mornmal becuase it's still healing from the inscisions...ive lost a total of 10 pounds and the pants are not feeling any loose??? lol.....how long would it be for my tummy start to go down???
Kittycat Posted September 4, 2008 Report Posted September 4, 2008 Oh yes yes, it's totally normal, my tummy was swollen for weeks, it will go back to normal eventually. Remember, you were blown up with air for the surgery, cut in 5 places, swelling is bound to happen. Relax and rest, everyone heals at different rates, it took me a month to feel like my old self again. Take care!
1papaya Posted September 4, 2008 Report Posted September 4, 2008 The swelling in the tummy area eventually goes down, I felt and looked like I was 5 months pregnant. I didn't like it at all. It lasted for about a month. Hang in there, and hope you feel better soon
ChristineArlene Posted September 4, 2008 Report Posted September 4, 2008 Hey Mari, I'm 3 weeks post and still swollen and still having gas pain. We all heal a little differently. As long as nothing is out of the ordinary, take it day by day. For me, it did get significantly better after about two weeks but, again, I'm still swollen. Hang in there!
