OSuzanna
:-? Okay, here's my question????? :scratch_one-s_head: What are the rules for our Tickers, are we calculating pounds lost from our "highest weight ever" :lb1: , or our weight at the day of our surgery :girl_sigh: ? Because if I use highest weight ever, which was the start of my pre-op diet weight, then I've lost 29 lbs :good3: . If I use my weight at the day of my surgery, I've only lost 24 lbs :cray: and lets face it a mere 5 pounds to us bandsters is HUGE!
Kittycat
OSuzanna, I think most of us go from the weight we were when we made the decision to be banded or from before we started the pre-op diet. I was 285 when I made the decision, 280 before starting pre-op, 268 when I was banded, now 240. Total loss 45 lbs. I think if you start the day before pre-op, you will get a fair number of what you've lost since the banding process began.
julieburns
I think it's up to each individual to make their ticker reflect what they choose to share. There are no "rules" that I know of.
cckcsharp
I say highest weight or before pre-op. This is because I believe that every pound lost is a success to be celebrated and acknowledged. You deserve to count those 5 pounds. But there really is no rule. karenlynn79
I think it's up to each individual to make their ticker reflect what they choose to share. There are no "rules" that I know of. I agree with Julie. My ticker shows from my highest weight ever (not pregnant) of 235. But it's up to each person I think. whatever you want! It's your ticker. cfuture88
My highest wt was a year ago. Then I lost 40#, then I gained 26. SOOOO I used my preop diet weight so I could track this weight loss go around.
shrty835
I have my pre-op, because thats was the first time I got on a scale in forever.
Sandy
I had my decision weight. My highest weight was 214 but I had struggled and "dieted" for years to get to 175. I couldn't see myself keeping up the fight for the next 50 years.
denisem
I too used my pre-op weight at my starting point. That is when I actually began the process of my lifestyle change, so I would definitely count those 5 pounds you are thinking about! momonamission
I use pre-op count. I worked for every pound and I count every pound. I only lost about 5 pre-op but they were a hard 5.
ChristineArlene
I used my pre-op weight too because, to me, that's when this journey truly began! Having said that, it's YOUR ticker. You should do what you feel is representative of your journey.

tlag
I agree with Julie and Jessica It should be your highest/decision weight, but as Jessica said, every pound is a success, so do what makes you feel best, nobody is going to judge you, we are all happy for eachother. mom12
I used my "Oh my goodness I have to do something this is totally out of control" weight of 196. Even though I was down to 189 by the time I actually called the OCC for an appointment and 178 by day of surgery.
