1jmk
Has anyone out there ordered clothing over the Internet? I'd like to buy some new clothes, but I'm not sure which plus size retailers are O.K. to order through. Any help you can give me would be greatly appreciated. - (1jmk) Janet

I have also used Always For Me for bathing suits/cover up. Search plus size clothing on-line and some stores should come up, some deliver to Canada, some don't. Good Luck and happy shopping. PS Are there any thrift stores ie: Value Village in your area? I would check that out first, you don't want to waste your money on clothes for now, when in a few months they'll be falling off your skinny butt! LOL!! julieburns
I love "silhouettes.com". Yes you do have to pay for shipping which always seems too much. Although for the convenience of ordering from home sometimes this is worth it. They do have clearance items and I've gotten great deals in those section. Other items are reasonable priced. Tara2sassy4u
I recently bought some tops from Lane Bryant and let me tell you I have received several compliments on them. Very fashionable. Suggest if you buy use the incentive coupon save 25 when you spend 75.00 or something to that effect. It really helps with the cost. They are based out of Cotati, CA(just north of SF), owned and operated all by women and is a very small business, but they do a big business. Their clothes last me years and made exceptionally well! They are online. Request a catalog.

Since I've never ordered clothing over the "net," I thought I should ask before I order from somewhere that isn't on the up and up. I'll give these a try. Thanks again! (1jmk) Janet. willowcat
I like WomanWithin and Junonia (plus size "active" clothing--fat people need to exercise too!). Also, Ula Popkin (I think that's right)--different styles that I find more flattering for my body type (pear shaped). And Silohouettes (sp?)--I like their split slip (stops thighs from rubbing together and getting a rash) and JMS (Just My Size)--more than just bras. WomanWithin does not ship to Canada, I have tried to order in the past. Junonia has some great stuff and I have ordered from there, but found their sizes off a little...I ordered 3x pants before I was banded and they fell off they were so huge. Silohouettes is great, I ordered recently from them and love their stuff. I also recently ordered from alight.com, which has great stuff too!! cherylb
There are many, here are some I have used: MIB.com (making it big--these are quality clothes, mostly rayon or cotton-very figure friendly) Roaman's, Women Within, Sanctuary ( lots of slinky stuff, better seen than on photo) quick order arrival-well priced...you can also request a catalog of any of these women's clothing lines, they arrive quit promptly---I have many near new clothing pieces both tops, slacks and dresses, especially MIB stuff I will soon be too small for if you are interested I can sell any to you reasonably...Cheryl-Tacoma, Wa.Has anyone out there ordered clothing over the Internet? LadyGeorgia
I personally buy a lot from Catherines.com. Around metro Atlanta, they have shops. I like their clothes because they don't act like an overweight person should just wear tents. They were very helpful in helping me pick out complimentary clothing. I have also bought them online and was very pleased. RIght now, I am wearing size 22 and they beginning to get loose. I had my sleeve surgury Oct 5 and I have lost a little over 18 lbs. I am not sure what to do with my clothes. I have a lot of very expensive and nice stuff. When my late husband died, I think I tried to buy and buy, thinking it would help me feel better, but of course, it didn't. I thought about giving them to Good Wheel or maybe selling them on ebay. What do you think? Denise

They have a couple of clearance catalogs per year where I've ordered skirts from $3-8, suits for $12-20, pants for $6-8 and jackets from $6-14. They sent emails with percentage off discounts often, but the clearance is where I've saved double. www.bcoutlet.com They carry brands such as Jessica London and Roamans too. janet1173
