fairywool
It's been six days and I'm so hungry and I'm looking forward to my eighth day so I can have my yogurt! And the tenth day so I can have my tomato soup! I don't think I ever thought about food as I do now! My trip to Mexico was great and some. Of course my flight was late and by the time I got to the hotel all the the other patients where gone. And I went to my room thinking of the next day.The next day Miss Ortize picked us up and drove us to the clinic. And then I was not to sure what scared me more the way Mexicans drove or my surgery I don;t think I ever stopped talking but that's what I do when I don't know whats ahead of me I meed some very nice Lady's there and I'm glade that I shared the morning with them because the rest of the day I was in Lala land. All I remember was they were taking blood and we got to the room I got undressed and put on my gown I was thinking why do I have to put on a bandanna but I found out latter that they where my undies That's what you get when you let a German free in Mexico They gave me to pills a white one to relax and a yellow to sleep and boy did I sleep I remember nothing except waking up and everything was done I slept through everything . The next day I was again the last one to go home and when I got to the hotel everyone was gone so I went for a little walk just to get my blood going but since I was alone I went back to my room and going to sleep. I flew back the next day It was very hart sine I hat to fly all the way to Florida sitting in between to large men feeling like a fish with out water. I got home save and my family that I missed sooo much picked me up with roses. I opened my door at home and I just started to cry my sweet husband did not know what to do he thought I was in pain . But I was thankful to be home and to greed my new live and to be alive . I was thankful to Lori for helping me thru this and still doe's To the doctors and nurses who treated me more like a family then a paition Again for the next two days I could do nothing but sleep. But I'm fine know and I went for a long walk with my son I lost since Monday 7 more pounds . I know I have to be on a diet for the rest of my live and I know that the Lap band is just a tool but to me its all worth it and the first thing I will do when I lose a enough weight is go on a roller coaster with my son I wish all of the new patients the best and not to be afraid To me there is light on the end of the tunnel
mommyrkr
Congradulations, and good luck on your journey. The liquid diet really does get easier once you get the yogurt and the soups. But you can do it. Becki

mommyrkr
Jessica, Your ticker is not showing up. And the liquid diet is described by Dr. Miranda, once you get there for surgery. But basically, it is 10 days of clear liquids, then you can add protein shakes and nonchunky soups for the next 11 days. Day 22 is the magic day of back on solid foods. OH, and you can start yogurt around or a little before the soup days also. Becki
LoriBecky
Hi Fairy, You'll do great! I know its hard and the clear liquids get SO old, but then again, that makes the shakes taste all the better once you get to them

sturr crazy
I had lap band surgery done on September 22. I have been very fortunate so far, no hunger and no pain.. As of Tuesday, Sept 26 I am 7 lbs lighter. I am so grateful that I was able to go to TJ and meet all the wonderful people at the clinic and I would definitely advise anyone to do it. I have dieted since the 7th grade and had topped at 237 lbs and only am 5'1". Where oh where is skinny ginny and all the gals that went in with me, it was fun and exciting to meet girls in my same position. Here's to all of us with our journey of a new body..Julie tucker where are you, I want to hear from you..sturr crazy
