julieburns Posted October 3, 2008 Report Share Posted October 3, 2008 Just wondering if anyone in Portland area and surrounding as far out as anyone can come, would like to have a simple meeting at a restaurant for lunch or dinner? I have thought of this off and on for awhile and thought I'd throw it out there for discussion. My thought it to keep it simple. Pick a restaurant, pick a day, most likely a weekend day, pick a time and then get an estimated number of who's coming, reserve a space or table and waaalaaa....we meet!! So who wants to come and all input is welcome. I am thinking of doing it before thanksgiving and when it gets busy for the holidays. Something like November 8 or 9? I really think I would just like to make the date November 8th and set it. This way we all have enough time to put it on out calendars and take care of any necessary plans so we can come... I'm excited. The only other date before thanksgiving would be October 25th and that's pretty soon or the 22nd of November but that is the weekend b-4 thanksgiving and I know alot of people will be preparing for the holiday. So let me know if this November 8th date is good for most hopefully and it's a done deal. This will happen!! Now should it be a lunch thing? That may be best like around 1:00 or so. Or if more people want dinner just give some input. If it's lunch I want it to be late enough for those that have to travel to not have to get up at the crack of dawn. stormy Posted October 4, 2008 Report Share Posted October 4, 2008 It used to be called the Medium Rare. Now it is called Anita's Diamondback Grill. It is an old place but the bar is the busy part. The restaurant, if I let her know how many we have, she can save the tables for us. During the day, she doesn't have much business in the restaurant part. She has things like, steak, salads, chicken, french fries, hamburgers. But for me and my crew, I bet she will cook up about anything we want. I think she has fish too. Hey and Julie, we could get you that bloody mary. HA! I just need to let her know the date and about how many so she can be ready. It is off of I-205, Estacada exit, then about two stop lights and it is on the left, it is so easy to find. Let me call her. You are always so sweet and understanding while still being supportive and informative! It would be so nice to meet ya in person. Just one question, is Clackamas close to Portland? I live in the San Francisco Bay Area and would fly in/out via Southwest on the same day...just unsure if this is a 6 hour drive or 45 minutes. I'm going for my 2nd fill at the OCC tomorrow. After hearing of your experience I've been considering finding an alternate fill location. At my first fill I asked them to be conservative as I feared being overfilled. The Dr. filled me with 2 cc (4cc band) and said he could still add more, I declined. It's so frustrating because I can eat just as much as I could before. Your explanation in regards to esophageal erosion when we overeat was great. Like many things in life, just because you CAN doesn't mean you SHOULD...sigh... This place is just an old Pub but it will do the trick cause we will have the whole dining room for just us. It is dead on Saturdays.
