cckcsharp
Hey I saw you mention cheese chips to kim. I had never heard of them and thought I would give them a try. I forgot to use non stick foil, which presented a challenge, but what I was able to pick off the foil was so darn good. I just wanted to thank you for sharing this tip. Great little snack idea that tastes yummy. Next time, I will use the non stick and have an even better time enjoying them.

taras2girls
I would like to know how to make them also! Tara
UTdigiMOM
These are a low carb staple. You use a non-stick cookie sheet or non-stick foil and put small piles of cheese (I like Parmigiano-Reggiano best!) all around the cookie sheet and broil it in the toaster oven until just melted. Make the piles small and you'll come away with thin, flat cheese 'chips' that are supper yummy. I've tried this with cheddar too. Here's another variation I found online: Mom's Homemade Cheese Chips Small pinch of grated cheddar for each "chip" ½ tsp. onion powder ½ tsp. garlic powder Place on non-stick cookie sheet & bake at 400º for approximately 6 minutes until flat, hard, & crisp - not burned! Remove with spatula & place on paper towel.

JazzyJude
Oh, this is so great of an idea! When I get closer to my 'solid food' stage, I will make a batch for my snacks. Thanks for sharing this Jessica!
wannabeslim
If the cheese is piled, doesn't it all stick together when melted? Sorry for the dumb question..
Allcdngirl
This sounds almost the same as using "grated parmasean". Great for low carb, but I guess we have to watch the fat as well.
UTdigiMOM
wannabeslim - yes it all sticks together which is the idea. When you lift it off the baking sheet with the spatula you'll have the chip. Yummy!
