Question... or two.

Recommended Posts

Do you think it's a bad idea to travel alone?

After landing after my surgery, I have about an hour drive to get from CO to NM. Is driving comfortable? Or, should I have someone take me and pick me up?

Also, people have mentioned that jello is okay to eat; however, after set it cannot go through a straw. Is it still okay? Or, do you have to drink it before it sets?

Thanks, Kristy

Hi there, I would not recommend you drive by yourself on the way back...everyone is different, some bounce back within a day or two, others not.

If you can bring someone along, it might be better, just incase.

I had jello, swished it in my mouth to liquify it.

Good luck!!

I had wanted to go along, but my mom said there was no way she was letting me go along. I have to admit i was very glad to have someone with me every step of the way, especially since i did not "bounce" back like i assumed i would.

I would HIGHLY suggest you have someone go with you. You shouldn't have to worry about after your surgery and you will be sore and such. Every effort to do things triggers to your sore spots. This is the time to relax and start healing. Remember, this is major surgery.

As for the Jell-O, I used more water to make it set more watery and was able to drink it quite well.

Good luck Kristy!
