You're Worth It!

So I love some of the inspirational emails I get from Jillians site and wanted to share this one as it made me feel better after doing a 2.5 mile walk/run...

You're Worth It!

Change is painful and often requires some struggling, but remember, it's so worth it. Every time you grunt it out and push yourself physically, you will grow even stronger and more confident in your abilities. And you might as well face it now: I'm never going to let it get easier, because I'm always going to be pushing you to the next level, no matter what that might be. And you know what? You're going to be stronger, healthier, and happier for all that hard work!

Remember, there is strength in numbers - the Message Boards have definitely shown that! Everyone learns so much and pushes each other every day to test their limits. Check out what one of your teammates has realized lately about accomplishing her goal:

"My brag for last week has to do with the 'Million Step Challenge.' I started off raring to go and thought that for sure I'd make the goal of a million steps by Christmas...then I started tracking my steps and realized that with my hips the way they are and bad knees... chances are I won't be able to average enough steps to do that, since even my highest day so far was still off by a couple of thousand steps.

That got me down for a few days, as I'm a bit of a perfectionist and like everything to be 'perfect'... then I got to thinking and realized that the only way I truly fail this challenge is if I give up. Okay so I may not make a million steps.... but maybe I'll make 500,000 or more and whatever number I reach, as long as I do my best that's all I can do... and that'll be however many more steps than I would have taken before the challenge.

I can't remember who said this but it's struck a chord with me during this revelation,

'You never fail, until you fail to try'...

Thanks for posting this Cara, it's so true.

50% of being successful with anything you try to do is state of mind...if you are driven to succeed and you desire something so bad, you can taste it...you can do it!!!

Frustration is normal and it will happen, but if you let it consume you, you won't succeed...get past it and move on and set another goal.

Cara baby!

EXCELLENT post...especially since I've just started doing Taz's step challenge last week. I've done another record breaker for myself and done close to 13,000 steps today and that is doing a walk only, not including my daily routine going to the loo, waling to the mailbox, the store, etc. I am trying to do my best to beat my previous day's step and I am proud of myself.

THANK YOU for sharing this with us...it helps me focus all the more the reason to be more healthier and stronger!

((You're awesome!))

Way to go Jazz! I am wanting to invest in a heart monitor for when I work out. You have me beat though, I am probably not hitting 10k steps by walking/running for 30 minutes...or...am I?

It felt great though and I swear it felt like my tummy has gone down!

Keep up the hard work Cath...your waistline is smaller than mine now....LOL...hmmm <_<

I would guess that you are not doing 10k in a half an hour unless you are doing 6 minute miles as it takes five miles to get to 10K on average. The fastest mile so far I've been able to manage is 12 minutes so 12 x 5 = 60 minutes to get 10K.

Keep up the awesome work!!!!!!!!!!!

Hope that helps,

Jann
