Guest erinmohr Posted November 19, 2008 Report Posted November 19, 2008 I woke up with a sensation in my upper left chest today. It doesn't necessarily hurt, kind of feels like a burning or maybe heart burn. Has anyone experiences anything like this?
Kittycat Posted November 19, 2008 Report Posted November 19, 2008 It could be heart burn or gas?? If it continues, call your doctor. Feel better!!
taras2girls Posted November 19, 2008 Report Posted November 19, 2008 Looking at your surgery date, I would have to agree with Kat and say yes, it's probably gas. But If it continues, check with your doctor. Was it Dr Ortiz? I had terrible pain in my left shoulder occasionally, which also, by the way was injured several years ago. I'm sure mine was gas. Being in your left part of your chest concerns me though. Let us know how you are doing. Tara

By the time i got home from work my body was aching badly so i decided to have a bath and as soon as i layed down my stomach started gurrguling (sp?) like crazy and it was almost instantly better. I have the sore shoulder as well from the gas bubbles, sometimes it feels like it is in my neck as well, but they are getting fewer and fewer all the time. Something new seems to happen everyday, i cannot wait for this all to become familiar to me...
JazzyJude Posted November 23, 2008 Report Posted November 23, 2008 You might also try rolling your shoulders around in circle, front and back, then in reverse, raised one side up, then the other side. Also raise both your arms and reach up and then one down, one up and vice versa. You may have gas bubbles stuck somewhere and with these movements, you may jiggle the bubbles enough to move out of your system. Hope this helps...
Taz Posted November 23, 2008 Report Posted November 23, 2008 I woke up with a sensation in my upper left chest today. It doesn't necessarily hurt, kind of feels like a burning or maybe heart burn.Has anyone experiences anything like this? I had the exact same thing a few days after my surgery. Thought it was the start of a heart attack or something. I went for a walk, and it disapated, only to come back when I sat down for a while. I took a GasX strip, another walk... and it went away. Yep... it was pressure from the gas. Taz
