silly question about ..... the gas

Recommended Posts

Ok, I am very new to this board, I have been reading as much as I can on here and I keep reading about the bad gas cramps and how walking helps... well here is my question....

How is this gas going away? Is it burping or????? I'm trying to prepare my boyfriend!!! lol Is there any specific food that causes this or is it everything until you get settled with the band?

My surgery is set for January 7th.

Thank you!

oh man.. I remember the first 4-6 weeks after surgery were brutal regarding gas! yes farting and burping... ugh. Now that I'm 8 months into it I BURP a lot! I've always been a burper but since being banded it's waaaay worse. It doesn't bother me but it does occasionally gross out my friends/family. They give me the "look"... and I'm like.. what?!?!

as far as the farting goes.. :D I rarely have gas... it's waaay better than before I was banded and I would be soo gassy from all the crap food I ate/overate.

It's hilarious...I was never able to burp now I can and do all the time. Comes out the other end too. Guess I should have found me a boyfriend before huh! :)

Hello, The plane ride home was brutal for me!!! It was worse then labor :)! Don't forget the GasX

Salena, thanks for the honest answer. I actually asked the question about the plane ride home earlier today, but I can't remember what blog I was in.

I have a very hard time remembering which one is which. This is also a learning experience for me. Anne
