I got up this morning at 3 o'clock. Left my house at 4 o'clock. I walked in the Durango airport as they were closing the ticketing counter and already boarding the plane... ack! I was able to make the flight, thank goodness. I had an extremely short layover in Denver which made my walk to the opposite end of the terminal a quick one. I landed in San Diego where Francisco was holding a sign with my name on it. I did not have to get out at the board. Paper work, done. Payment, done. Meeting with Dr. Miranda, done. LOST 20 POUNDS ON MY PRE-OP DIET! Heart and lungs tested. Now getting off of the table thinking that I'm going to go have Mexican food and was told Dr. Ortiz wanted to do my surgery today rather than tomorrow. I said okay and I joined the band-wagon a day early! I'm feeling really great. I have a little pain near the biggest opening. I "feel" no restriction when I drink anything, so I hope all is okay. Is this normal? Anyhoo, I'm going to head back to my room and see if I can find something on television. Thanks for all of the advice and support during this process. The wealth of information that I have been given is priceless! I also met Sarah. We sat and talked about things for quite awile. It's going to be great to talk to someone that I "know" and that was banded on the same day.

Thanks, Kristy

Congratulations and let me be the first to welcome to band land! It’s perfectly normal to feel little or no restriction at first. Still you need to remember to take little sips. Many don’t feel any restriction until the fist fill and for some even that’s pretty light.

You're doing great - I can't wait to see what you do on this journey - its going to be pretty cool!!

Best,

Lisa

Hi Kristy, it was great meeting you too. Sometime down the line, I think it would be neat if all of us met for a lap renuion. Somewhere between all of us. What do you guys think? Well, I guess we will wait and see. Hope you had a great night. Maybe I will see you tomorrow if you go shopping too.
