Amanda2008
I have the worst gas pain today after overeating last night (I am pretty sure it is gas because each time I burp or fart, I feel much better...) All I ate yesterday was three bowls of soup, but I had two bowls within about 90 minutes of each other last night. I think it was psychological - I just wanted it! (It was broccoli cheese and amazing - but NOT worth this pain). I felt very stuffed last night but thought I would be OK. Today however I have some pretty bad pain in my abdomen and my stomach is making a ton of noise grumbling. I'm taking Gas-X which helps a bit. I'm hoping I didn't stretch out my band. I have been doing so great, but I forgot to stay vigilant. Just posting this to remind other newbies (and scold myself publicly)... the yummy is not worth the pain that follows. Well what counts is that you recognize your 'error' and you will just go forward...don't sweat too much on this and no, that 'one' incident didn't cause you no harm. You may still have some gas bubbles in you so doing the gas x will help and make sure you are doing your walks and don't sit in one position for a long time. Movements helps get the gas bubbles out of you. Your tummy is growling because YOU NEED PROTEINS. Either have a protein shake for one of your meals, taking in all your protein water? or start doing the whey liquid protein bullets. You need the protein to stabilize your body and gives you energy. Lack of protein can cause dizzyness, nauseous and the blahs. Continue to take the chewable Fiber Choice for the hunger pangs, one at 10am and one at 3pm. Hope this helps! Amanda2008
It's been a very, very uncomfortable day... A lot of pain. I had a Danon Frusion, some chicken broth and a Muscle Milk protein drink. I'm going to bed with a heating pad. It's weird because I didn't think I had much restriction. What happened? Why so much pain? (Do NOT push your band and overeat!)
CottonwoodAZ
Well I had gas for 4 weeks and after Broccoli and cheese it was always worse as Broccoli causes more gas. Just keep moving the gas out. keep healing

Amanda2008
Today was better, although I was much more tired than I was the first week post-op :-( I had so much energy about 7 days after surgery! I couldn't find any protein bullets at the store but I had a protein shake for breakfast and one for an afternoon snack (took me about 2 hours to drink it!). Other food was a bowl of tomato soup for lunch and another for dinner, and some orange juice. I can't wait till my fill!
mona-camille
Definitely stay away from broccholi!! I had some horrible gas from that too! I used to love it and eat a ton, but now I can only have very tiny amounts or I will get that god-awful pain and gas.
