Amanda2008
Is this normal? I guess I don't have any restriction. It's so devastating after all the wonderfulness (and weight-dropping) of the first few weeks. BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
jhawkchick75
Hi there! I was lucky and have yet to have any major hunger problems, but here are some suggestions: * Many times when you think you are hungry you are actually thirsty. Are you getting enough water in? * I take fiber choice weight management and I know some others so benefiber and other types. If you take them around 10am and around 3pm, it helps between meals. * Also, it takes time to figure out and everyone is different, but make sure it's not mental hunger. A few times when i've found myself thinking I was hungry, it was due to stress or it was "time" to eat. * Are you getting enough protein? Focus on protein first then veggies. Also, I do protein bullets and they really help. As I said I can really eat whatever - nothing gets stuck and I do just fine so I definitely don't have much restriction, but I make sure and follow these steps to help myself along and so far i've done great. Good luck!
Amanda2008
I've been getting lots of protein in, but I'll try the FiberChoice. I still have a ton from the pre-op diet.
Amanda2008
I overate tonight and had my first PB experience. I had sort of assumed I didn't have any restriction and the band wasn't doing anything. I guess I was proven wrong!!!! :o I will start on the chewable fiber asap. MrsParris
I was banded on Nov. 19th. As far as I can tell I don't have any restriction what so ever. I am still watching my portions and dieting. Glad to hear that you have some restriction. Kimberly

Good luck! Shelby! You are catching on girl!!! EXCELLENT! Yes, I don't get the hunger pangs at all...just know that until you get your 2nd or 3rd fill is when you REALLY would get some good restrictions. REMEMBER, we are doing progressive steps in this new weight loss journey of ours. First the surgery, then relearning HOW to eat properly during the first 3 weeks of healing and mental adjustments, then we starting eating real food with PORTION CONTROL. This is the key...portion control. NEVER go more than 3/4 cup of food per meal. If you don't have between 60 to 90 grams of proteins on a daily basis, then you will get hunger pangs. Take the chewable Fiber Choice to help curb them. Then when it's time for "tightening our belts" per se, you will be getting fills and also, each time you progress in it's tightness to prevent body rejection. Your body doesn't do well with a huge jump from eating anything to just a few bites. So, the band gets tightened more each visit and base on your own body to how much of a fill you will get.
