pain near my port

Recommended Posts

I havent posted in quite some time due to my personal situation of caring for my elderly/mentally ill mom.

But these past few days I have had pain right where my port is. My mom is a big lady (that's where I got it from) and I have been physically exerting myself quite a bit more these past several weeks helping her stand and such. So I am hoping this is just tender muscles

But has anyone else had pain near their port and found out is was something to be concerned about. I am also worried that my port may have moved or flipped.

Sometimes when you twist or bend the wrong way your port will move a second and go right back to the position it was in. I was banded oct 20, and still have some tenderness around my port area at times... It could just be that you are moving alot. If your worrid about it I would call your Dr. and talk to him/her about it...

If I ever do too much lifting or stretching or even days and days of house work, I will have that pain you are talking about. I heard we can have it for up to 6 months. Just try to take it easy the best you can.
