ckiki
So obviously this question isn't for me, since I will be arriving the day of my surgery and not eating food, however, my mom is going with me, and is afraid of eating food in TJ. We are most likely not leaving the hotel, except for going to the clinic, so what kind of food is available in the restaurant in the hotel? Do they have american food (my mom can't do spicy mexican food)? Also, I think I remember reading there is a Dominos Pizza across the street..do they deliver to the hotel, and how is the pizza? Ok thanks everyone
nothereanymore
The food is great - the restaurant by the pool if one of my favorites of all time.
shockon3
Which hotel is nicer? Do we have a choice? Online it looks like Camino Real is nicer.
louisem
Your mom should be fine with the food at the restaurant, I doubt you will need to order in from Dominos. There is also a starbucks across the street and they have what looked like really nice sandwiches (I went post op so couldn't taste for myself). One thing to note, if your mom comes with you to the clinic make sure she brings food with her. That was one of the big complaints for the companions who were at the clinic, there apparently isn't much close by and nothing to eat at the clinic. I am sure that the restaurant at the hotel will make you a boxed lunch if you request it.
CindyLou
My husband ordered room service the whole time and was very happy. The cheesburger looked great, although EVERYthing looked great to me.

My mom also came with me who is not into mexican or spicy food. she loved the hotel restaurant. they cater to the bandsters with liquid food, but my mom was totally happy there. it's a really nice hotel. i hate to say this but wasn't quite expecting so nice in TJ. all will be fine!
