beginning of my weekend when I first get to TJ or at the end before I go home? Okay - so I admit, I thought of doing it before so if I need a defill I am there...but if I wait then I can have a little more freedom for the weekend.

Definately get the fill when you first get there in case you are too full. Read Julieburns posts if you have any questions about the reasons why. The fill only takes 5 minutes and you won't be restricted at all except in what you eat, and we are all doing this to lose weight anyway aren't we. It won't stop you from doing anything else. I will be there getting my second fill Jan. 16 and plan to go out shopping with my daughter right after the fill.

Definitely as soon as you get there. It's a little frustrating you will be on liquids while there, but at least you'll be distracted with fun things. I made the mistake of drinking a little too much Tequila while hitting TJ after a fill and had to get unfilled the next day. Thank god I hadn't flown home yet. Stick to protein shakes! :)

I will warn ALL of you ladies....hard alcohol makes our bands tighten and close up...I am NOT the first person to notice this and you are definately NOT able to tolerate alcohol like you used to. ALSO....alcohol is dehydrating....I have noticed a few times where I have had a couple too many and I CANNOT eat a thing the next day! only liquids...this dehydration causes the band to tighten obviously more than normal! I would encourage you to NOT play with your band this way. only drinking liquids and alcohol as a liquid as a reason to stay until a monday for fear of needing an unfill makes me worry a bit about you...this is stinkin' thinkin'...time to get healthy...we are fat for a reason...right?

Remind yourselves that you are also in a country that has a DRUG war raging...people are showing up in ditches decapitated for NO reason.

please err on the side of caution...I have been the original party girl in the past and I am ALL for having a great time...but not at the extent of being a victim! be safe, caio doll, Cara

Cara is RIGHT! Remember the reason why you got banded. Alcohol are EMPTY CALORIES and most, high in sugar intake. So do yourself and your band a favor and DON'T drink alcoholic beverages. Stick with water, Crystal Light, tea, etc. Having a good time is all good and YOU CAN HAVE FUN WITHOUT ALCOHOL!

IMHO, I would get the fill first thing and go on liquids and see how your band acts. Listen to your body for signs and if something is not right, you have time for an unfill.
