JennHB
This may be retarded thinking but... When you are on the soft foods diet, has anyone eaten baby food? It seems like it would be the right portion and consistency, and I think they are pretty nutritious? I am getting banded on Friday and curious if anyone has done that, went shopping for post op food/liquids and thought about that, any idea's about this??? Oh yes, I thought of this and I am sure everyone else have too. I was told it's not enough nutrionally for us adults and would have to triple the amount to meet our daily requirements and that would put us over the portion control we are trying to achieve. Stick with the post op diet Dr Miranda is giving you and while you talk with her during your preop surgery, ask her and see if she says any other info as well. I just know that we are to use 'adult' food and progress from there.
CindyLou
Shhh...don't tell anyone, but I did the Gerber's baby food during my creamy soup phase. It was thin enough that it could have been sucked through a straw. I especially loved the pear and apricot. The sweet potatoe was "ok"........ It really saved me when I needed or craved fruit.
