bpd123
I think I screwed up. I had egg flour soup last night. For one thing it was FLOUR, and I also ate TOO much. I got the hiccups later, and have not really been able to get any water down this morning. It wants to come back up. I also have cramps in my lower abdomen. Has this happened to anyone else? Do you think I have hurt my band? I don't know if it was the flour that was so bad, or the overeating. I had surgery 3 weeks ago.
nothereanymore
Hello, I'm so sorry about this!! Its hard to say if you hurt anything, to be safe please call the Doctor as quickly as possible. If you're a patient of Dr. Ortiz you should have his cell number in your pack. Take care and call quickly! Lisa
2mara
BDP123, Are you feeling better today? Did you get a chance to call your doctor? Over the last 7 months I have occassionally "messed up" too and eaten something that didn't agree with me or ate too much, too fast. One thing I've found that helps is to go for a slow walk. I don't know if it just makes time pass or if it really helps the food work its way down -- but it helps me. Also, sometimes you have to back up a little bit. For example, if soup with "stuff" in it is causing problems, back up to clear liquids for the next 2 or 3 meals. I do hope you are feeling better and your doctor was able to help you figure out what is going on. Happy New Year! And, Happy New You!!!
nothereanymore
I was worried as well and left a note - I heard back, bpd123 is doing fine right now. If you're a newbie (or oldie) and you can't get liquids down, please call your doctor. Dehydration can set in really fast and you need to be careful.
