GirlBarb
I have been hearing so much about the health benifits of this program, does anyone know anything about it? Three people that take it swear that they feel so much younger in many ways. I was told it was a drink that you have 1 or 2 times a day and some other items you can purchas like cleans or waffers for appitatite control? No I do not sell it or have I bought it yet, I think that it is sold sort of like a piramid business. Barb
nothereanymore
I haven’t tried it, but I have heard of it. From what I know it’s a cleanse type program with meal replacements and these are normally affective for short term weight loss – I do cleanses every few months right now – but mine is a Chinese home remedy at little cost and its not multi marketing. Since we have the band and our goal is long term weight loss I believe we need to retrain our mind as well as our bodies. I’m not sure if this would do it – I would think its one of those fads were people all sign up and lose 40 pounds fast, hoping to make some extra $$ and then gain back 60. We all know the many reasons people are overweight, (we’re most likely some of the top experts on it) most due to a sedentary lifestyle, poor eating habits, way too many processed foods and not enough healthy food and exercise. We actually have a permanent fix to lose the weight – it’s not fast, but its works if we stay committed to following the program, our band is a life commitment to help us gain our health back, Isogenics may help increase our short term weight loss but it’s most likely not needed if we follow the plan and add in exercise. The truth is I’m not into spending any more money on any other diet product – I invested way to much already and I make up my mind that my investment in my band was my last one and my goal is to make it work for me. (So far, so good) I have heard of many who supplement the band life with other diets – so if its something you want to do – go for it. I haven’t heard of any dangers with the product – (that doesn’t mean something wont crop up tomorrow – its funny how they always find something out about these types of programs as soon as I start taking them - thats why I don't do them anymore). All the best and good luck! leyla
Hey there, I ordered isogenics before I had my lapband put in and I have mixed reviews about it. First of all, I think it's pretty overpriced for what you're getting. You can easily go to a healthfood store and put that cleanse together yourself. You get a protein shake equivillant, a cleanse drink (which you buy in pill form at a healthfood store), some laxatives, and a liquid vitamin. To credit the cleanse, it does work-- I did the 30 day version and lost 16 pounds and quit smoking. It felt pretty good, despite the fact that it's not the easiest thing to do. You have to be really committed to calorie restrictions. I wasn't really hungry at all-- but it was mentally challenging to do it for a whole month. Your body is really cleansed--- I couldn't believe the stuff I was, um, clearing out of my body. The downside is that I quickly gained the weight back. It's not meant to be a permanent weight loss solution. I suppose if I had done the cleanse after being banded, maybe it would've been easier to keep the weight off. You'd likely keep it off longer. I would definitely reccomend a cleanse, but save your money and go with something cheaper. I think it cost me about $400 altogether. good luck! Mammaof2wins
Hi there! 2 yrs before my band I took Isagenix. I lost 30+ lbs I did eventually gain it back but it took a lot longer to gain back then most quick weightloss diets. The program is pretty difficult to follow expecially on the cleanse days. The program is pretty spendy but I did feel REALLY GOOD while taking Isagenix and with lots of energy!
GirlBarb
Thanks so much for letting me know about your experiences with the product. The cost is the biggest issue for me. Since Sept 08 I have not lost any weight and have even gained 5 pounds. I was looking for a jump start that might get me going in the right direction again. I like the idea of going to a health food store and getting the products cheaper. Barb
nothereanymore
Girl Barb, if you're taking protein, try changing the times you take it. I gain weight and lose all the time - its just part of my life now, and have that extra to lose since the Holidays. Right now I brought up my protein intake, and change when I have it for a meal replacement. (Somedays for breakfast - then another day lunch - then dinner) I found that a lot of it is about fooling our bodies. I'll also really change up my exercise - just at home things right now since we've been snowed in so much. I'm doing yoga, treadmeal and some dancing. (and I change the times I do it just like changing the protein) Its finally coming off again. It always does! This always works for me!
