2nd half of post op diet

Hey everybody! I am on day 10 of my post op diet!! I cannot believe that I made it this far!! I'm down 7.5 pounds and I can already see it in my face (goodbye fat cheeks!!). I was wondering for those that are in the same stage as I am - what are you eating at this stage?? I don't really know if you can call it "eating" but you know what I mean. I have a Carnation Instant drink or a protein drink for breakfast and then some form of watered down soup like cream of broccoli or potato soup the rest of the day, or maybe some egg drop soup from the Chinese rest. Is this what I'm supposed to be doing?? Are these okay for the full solids stage?? Nothing has made my tummy rumble like it was trying to digest so I think I'm okay, but I don't really know??

Would love to know what the other bandsters who went through this were eating at this stage also..

Thanks everybody for your input..

Hey Gurl! You are doing great! Keep up the good work!

You should go to the Recipe section and click on the Healthy creamy soup thread. Also, there are a lot of other soup recipes you can try to help break the ice of eating the same thing, over and over.

My main soup was having the Campbell's Cream of Potato (one can) and Cheddar Cheese (1/2 can) and one can's worth of milk. I added garlic powder and crushed Rosemary and warm the soup up and drink up! This soup makes me full and satisfy. Also, I would have tomato soup and added hot sauce and basil and oh so good! NOTE: After my fills, I would have the Cream of Potato soup for the three days and it helped me 'jump start' my metabolism and my weight loss.

Good luck and don't forget, you can have those drinkable yogurts for a change...

Best of luck!

Definitely agree you need to mix it up as much as possible so you don't get bored. I went to the store and if it said creamy on the soup can I bought 1 of each! I tried so many types of soups and really mixed it up. I tried to do danactive as much as I could, but I am one of those rare breeds that doesn't like sweets and so I really didn't like them. Protein shakes and bullets really helped me through that time as well.

I didn't do this, but I agree with Jude about adding spices and what not to change up your soup. I'm not domesticated at all so just adding milk is like making meal to me! :)

Keep up the good work!
