My mom, aunt, and sister in law have done this with great results. I wasnt' sure if it would work for us bandsters. Any thoughts would be helpful. Kimmy in MD Posted February 10, 2009 Report Share Posted February 10, 2009 i am sure the diet would probably work ( i haven't even looked at the plan) as eating/losing is simple less calories in and more calories burned equals weight loss. The band is a tool that will help you with portion control and hunger control. Maytee Posted February 11, 2009 Report Share Posted February 11, 2009 My Husband has been on it and lost 30 pounds in 6 weeks. He wasn't super overweight just 30 lbs too much. I tried it for a week and I have to say I was starving! You can only eat 500-700 calories and its very strict. I could do it. Basically no fat, dairy,you can't mix certain veggies. My husband has amazing discipline and he basically would eat 1/2 protein bullet in the morning 1/2 protein bullet for lunch 1 apple 1 cup of strawberries 5 oz of lean meat or fish for dinner with cherry tomatoes cucumbers 2 pieces of Melba toast That was it. He loves the diet. I don't know how he does it. It does work if you follow it. Its just not something I think most of us can stick to for ever.
