Actually it is more like pressure. I have a friend that has had her band for 4 months, and she says that she still occasionally gets pressure pains. I guess time will tell! Good luck with your band! Thank you Regina Regina I had really bad pain a couple weeks after being banded for about 2-3 weeks. Pain that was so bad when I layed in bed I had to sleep with a huggy pillow and position myself just right.. I was really worried about it but it eventually went away. It was sharp and would take my breath away, it happened when laying down and when walking. I was told it was "healing" and was fine... it felt like it took forever but the pain did go away and all is well. Good luck.

I didn't have that much pain though, mostly discomfort. I didn't do a whole lot of sitting around either. I did a lot of mini walks to prevent any issues with my port or if I had any gas bubbles 'hiding' in me.
